Glassex
2008 was deemed a rewarding time for profile manufacturer
VEKA plc, seeing the company’s stand literally inundated
with visitors daily that were intent on viewing first hand
the new window and door collection on display.
Making a return to the show’s floor plan,
VEKA made sure it engaged the visitors coming through the
door by firmly establishing its operations in a central
location, situated side-by-side to the forum. This was
the ideal place to catch the over-flow of people attending
the seminar programme that was based on issues such as
Window Energy Ratings (WER), sustainability and recycling
but to name a few, all indicative to the VEKA range.
As industry leaders, members of the VEKA team
took part in the programme to deliver presentations on the
work it is undertaking to ensure its business operations
work towards recycling, sustainability and fully embracing
green initiatives. These presentations were also geared towards
how installers and fabricators across the board can link
their operations into VEKA’s activities and help reduce their
carbon footprints further.
Once on the stand, visitors were able to see
the full VEKA complement, both products and product specialists,
to get a full in-depth breakdown on just how the new range
works, and what level of support customers get. On display
was the new Amulet door range that comes in 23 styles, 7
colours and has hundreds of glass options to offer an almost
limitless number of options for customers.
Also on show were the new vertical slider and fully reversible
window systems that have been designed to set a technological
precedent for the industry.
Commented on VEKA’s attendance this year, Colin Torley said:
“The response we had from our visitor base was fantastic!
The enquires we obtained over the three days have been exceedingly
good and the interest in our full range was exceptional.
Making
plans to attend such a show is always filled with apprehension
at the best of times because you never know how many visitors
to anticipate
This year
we have seen so many companies bow out due to financial
pressures, seeing their operations go under so early on
in 2008; we were uncertain of what to expect. We were pleasantly
surprised! Glassex proved to be the perfect platform for
us to launch what we believe to be some important products
onto the market.”
