Window Energy Rating Calculator
Following the recent update to Building Regulations all replacement windows across England, Wales and Scotland must meet the following standard from 1st October 2010:
- An energy rating of C
- A whole window U-value of 1.6 W/m2K
To assist customers with calculating WER’s, VEKA has developed the Energy Ratings Calculator, which is simple to use and provides instant information about the rating of a specific combination of profile, glazing and spacer bars.
The Calculator allows the basic analysis of a enormous number of VEKA window and glazing combinations (Approximately 16,000 at this time and growing) and provides an indicative energy rating. The results from the Calculator can be used as a U-value certificate for either replacement or new build windows and can be used to identify appropriate glazing units for A, B and C rated window, for which VEKA can provide full simulation reports.
Please Note: The results from the Calculator contain insufficient content for BFRC certification and cannot be used as evidence of an energy rated window.
