Industry-leading PVC-U system supplier and major local employer, VEKA plc has once again demonstrated its commitment to helping the local community, with a generous donation to Burnley General Hospital's Children's Ward.

Just before Christmas, VEKA's employee works committee ensured that the Deerplay ward received a cheque for £300 to spend on new toys for the children, or to use wherever it was needed most.

Gabriela Hammond, VEKA's Human Resources Manager explains, “Each month our works committee sets aside a certain amount of money for charity. As it was coming up to Christmas and it is such a worthy cause, we decided to donate £300 to the children's ward. We know how hard the staff work to give the kids a happy Christmas and we hope our donation helped.”
