VEKA steals the show at Ecobuild

VEKA made a successful return to Ecobuild with a large, front-of-house stand inside the main arena. 50,000 people pre-registered to visit the popular show and the VEKA stand, designed in the new corporate style, attracted large numbers of architects, specifiers and trade visitors.

Environmental issues have become increasingly prominent in the global media over recent years and as a result, exhibitions offering positive solutions, such as Ecobuild, have surged in popularity. VEKA seized this opportunity to further promote its unique, closed-loop recycling facility – VEKA Recycling - which creates new windows from old, as well as showcasing a range of energy-efficient products.

Colin Torley, Sales and Marketing Director at VEKA, says “The exhibition gave us a chance to speak to a large yet targeted audience and the response we received was tremendous. The VEKA Recycling area of the stand provoked a great number of enquiries, because while many companies claim to recycle PVC-U, they often turn it into lower-grade products rather than new windows. Ours is an 'old windows to new' process and we are obviously very proud of that. With uncertainty surrounding other companies in the industry, the fact that we are a long-established company under the same private ownership that established the VEKA Group back in 1967, proved to be a great talking point. VEKA is renowned for its technical innovation, which we showcased in the product area of the stand.”
