The VEKAFIX subframe
is designed as a window acceptor enabling fitting from the
inside. Suitable for cavity widths of 65mm, 75mm and 100mm
and catering for brickwork, render and check reveal applications,
it closes cavities in accordance with the requirements of Part
L of the 1995 Building Regulations.
The VEKAFIX subframe is
supplied fully assembled and braced ready for use. It allows
the window to be fitted at a much later stage in the building
process, reducing the risk of damage during construction.
The
VEKAFIX subframe acts as a template for the brick aperture.
It is put in place and the bricklayer builds around it. The
fact that the fabricator makes both the VEKAFIX subframes and
the windows, the risk of mis measures is eliminated.

VEKAFIX
can be supplied as a four sided subframe with the head section
trimmed to allow the fitting of the lintel, or it can be supplied
as a three sided subframe that fits below the lintel The VEKAFIX
subframe allows the window to be fitted with a simple push-fit
from the inside of the building, requiring only a bead of low
modulus silicone sealant.
The VEKAFIX subframe acts as a damp proof course and cavity closer. The rigid
PVC-U box construction has excellent heat insulation qualities.
The VEKAFIX system has been designed to allow window frame fitting from the inside.
Not only does this increase site safety, it also allows the window to be fitted
when scaffolding is obstructing the opening on the outside |
