Our role includes both manufacturing PVCu systems to defined standards and maintaining long‑term supply relationships with fabricators. Sustainability at VEKA
VEKA monitors and reports on key environmental indicators such as recycling volumes and energy use across its operations.
VEKA Recycling, a large-scale PVCu recycling operation in the UK, has worked on PVCu recycling for more than 25 years. Since the first plant opened in Behringen, Germany in 1993, followed by facilities in France and the UK, VEKA has developed a recycling capacity of 100,000 tons per year. Based on internal calculations, this approach has helped avoid an estimated 780,000 tons of CO₂ and enabled recycled material to be used in the core of more than 40 million windows.
Sustainability at VEKA includes considerations beyond recycling. This covers areas such as operational energy use, water efficiency, and the sourcing and reuse of PVCu material at end of life. VEKA aims to manage environmental impacts across different stages of the value chain.
