Long Standing VEKA Partner, Potton Windows, achieves PAS 2030 accreditation
VEKA plc partner, Potton Windows, has achieved PAS 2030 accreditation, strengthening its capability to support clients delivering energy efficiency improvements across social housing.
Established in 1987, the family‑run business has long specialised in local authority and housing association work, with around 95% of projects focused on the social housing sector, under the leadership of Managing Director Peter Ray.
As retrofit programmes continue to grow in response to funding initiatives such as ECO4, Potton Windows took the decision to gain a deeper understanding of the standards shaping project delivery.
PAS 2030 provides a framework for the quality assured installation of energy efficiency measures, supporting a whole house approach to retrofit. Typically coordinated by principal contractors and retrofit specialists, these projects bring together multiple trades to improve the thermal performance of existing housing stock.
Simon Cobb, Manager at Potton Windows, explains: “Much of the work we’re involved in forms part of wider retrofit programmes, where a number of different specialists contribute to improving the overall performance of the property. Achieving PAS 2030 has helped us better understand how these projects are structured and the requirements involved.”
The accreditation process largely involved evidencing existing technical procedures, quality management processes and installation standards already embedded within the business.
VEKA’s partnership with Potton Windows began in 1991. Through long term collaboration and support from VEKA, Potton has been able to access the performance data and supporting documentation required as part of the compliance process.
Simon added; “VEKA provided the technical information we needed, including thermal performance data and U-values, which supported the submission process. Having access to clear and reliable documentation made it much easier to compile the required evidence.”
With more than three decades of partnership between the two companies, Potton Windows continues to specify VEKA systems across a wide range of social housing projects, where performance, consistency and technical support remain key considerations.
Matthew Adaway, Sales Director (Specification & Service) at VEKA plc commented “Achieving PAS 2030 is a great milestone for Potton Windows and reflects their continued commitment to supporting the evolving needs of the social housing sector. Our partnership spans more than 30 years, and we’re proud to support customers with the technical expertise, product performance and documentation needed to meet changing specification requirements”
While PAS 2030 accreditation is typically held at programme level within whole-house retrofit delivery models, gaining insight into the framework allows Potton Windows to better support clients operating within evolving compliance requirements.
As housing providers continue to invest in improving the energy performance of existing homes, collaboration across the supply chain will play an increasingly important role in ensuring projects meet required standards.
Through ongoing partnership with VEKA, Potton Windows is well positioned to support customers navigating changing specification demands across the retrofit sector.
