VEKA Named Large Business of the Year at Burnley Business Awards 2026

VEKA has been named Large Business of the Year at the Burnley Business Awards 2026, recognising the company's contribution to the local economy, its ongoing investment in people and skills, and its long-standing commitment to manufacturing in Burnley.

The award was presented at a ceremony held at Towneley Hall on 9 July 2026, bringing together businesses and organisations from across the borough to celebrate local success.
The recognition comes during a significant milestone year for VEKA, as the company celebrates 40 years of manufacturing in Burnley.

Since establishing its UK operation in the town in 1986, VEKA has grown into one of the UK's leading manufacturers of PVC-U window and door systems and remains a major local employer. Over the past four decades, generations of local people have built their careers with the business, helping to shape its growth and success through their skill, experience and dedication.

The Large Business of the Year award highlights VEKA's continued investment in employment, training and responsible manufacturing, as well as its partnerships within the local community.
Neil Evans, Managing Director of VEKA plc, said:

"Burnley has been VEKA's home for 40 years, so to receive this recognition from our local business community makes this award particularly special.

This achievement reflects the commitment, skill and dedication of our colleagues, past and present, whose contribution has helped shape the business and its success. We are proud to have generations of local families represented across our workforce, and that connection to Burnley remains one of our greatest strengths.
As a major local employer and manufacturer, we are committed to supporting opportunities for people, investing in our community and playing a positive role in Burnley's future."

As part of its 40th anniversary celebrations, VEKA is recognising the employees, customers, partners and community relationships that have supported the business throughout its journey.

The company has also partnered with Burnley FC in the Community to deliver its 40 Good Deeds initiative, encouraging employees to take part in volunteering, fundraising and practical activities that support local people and organisations across Burnley and the surrounding area.

Receiving the Large Business of the Year award provides another opportunity to reflect on VEKA's connection to Burnley and its continued commitment to investing in the town, supporting local communities and creating opportunities for future generations.
